Vitor Pereira has been named the Premier League Manager of the Month for April after guiding Wolves to a record-breaking victory last month.
Wolves started April with a 1-0 win at West Ham United followed by a 2-1 win at Ipswich Town, before beating Tottenham Hotspur
4-2 and Manchester United 1-0 before rounding off the month with a 3-0 win at Leicester City.
“It was a really good month for us. We were consistent, we competed but it’s also the people behind the scenes. We couldn’t achieve this alone without the staff, the fans, the people working in the kitchen, the gym and everywhere. This award is for everyone,” Pereira told the club’s website.
“Ipswich was maybe the game at the right time. The points then were different to today. Today we play with more confidence, more freedom, more creativity but it’s about the players. Pereira is the fifth Portuguese manager to win the award, following José Mourinho, Andre Villas-Boas, Nuno Espirito Santo and Bruno Lage.
