Aurelien Tchouameni could return for Real Madrid in Wednesday’s Champions League trip to Liverpool.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti may have no choice but to play Aurelien Tchouameni for Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Liverpool at Anfield as the Los Blancos face a defensive crisis, Diario AS reported on Saturday.

ReaI Madrid have lost Eder Militao to a torn ACL in his right knee that has ended the season prematurely, while David Alaba has yet to fully recover from his injury suffered last year, leaving Ancelotti with only Antonio Rudiger as his preferred centre-back option, with Raul Asensio brought in from the reserves as the Italian manager loses confidence in Jesus Vallejo.

Real Madrid are reportedly trying their best to make Tchouameni available for the trip to Liverpool. Although the ยูฟ่าเบท choice to field the Frenchman as a centre-back could risk further injury.

Tchouameni injury his ankle during the 3-1 Champions League defeat at AC Milan in early November and is expect to be out for around a month. But if he plays at Anfield on Wednesday it will mean he will be out for just 22 days.

Tchouameni was expect to be out for a month when he injured his ankle against AC Milan earlier in November. But if he does return for the Liverpool match, it would have only been 22 days. While it is good news for Real Madrid, there is undoubtedly an increased risk of injury – although they can do little about it because of their defensive crisis.
